On top of all of the existing complexities involved in hiring migrants, INZ now appears to be dictating the content of job advertisements and becoming prescriptive in their approach to the recruitment process.
The commission recommends that NZ law be changed to require governments to explicitly consider how well the country can support and settle more people.
The first round of applications will open in December.
While the new resident visa is most certainly welcome, this latest announcement does beg the question – what happens to everyone else?
