BFG capital return to shareholders – update

In connection with the proposed scheme of arrangement relating to the return of capital to shareholders, as announced on 27 October 2023 and as approved by shareholders at a special shareholder meeting on 14 December 2023, a shareholder has filed a notice of opposition to the originating application for orders approving the scheme of arrangement (application) with the High Court of New Zealand.

The company is working through this notice of opposition and will keep the market updated as required, including as to any impact that this opposition might have on the current timetable including the timing for the hearing of the application which is currently set down for 5 February 2024.

The board of BurgerFuel continues to believe that the capital return (as detailed in the 15 November 2023 notice of meeting and related documents) is in the best interests of the company and its shareholders.
